As part of the project “Networks for Youth – Brighter Partners for Brighter Future”, implemented within the “Capacity Building in the field of Youth – Western Balkan Window”, Erasmus+ Programme, the third moblity training course was conducted in Athens, Greece from 17th – 23rd  April, 2019.

Youth workers, representatives from Bulgaria, Serbia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina participated in the trainings were from the Project partners organizations: Balkan Development Center (SRB),  National Association of the People with Acquired Disabilities – NAPHU (BUG), Citizens Initaitive for the Futrue-CIF (SRB), Municipality of Kuršumlija (SRB), Municipality of Elin Pelin (BUG) and the host organization IASIS NGO Greece. The Training will be held in IASIS premises in Athens.

The training topics were:

  • Public-private PR strategies and relations, negotiation and promotion skills, communication, constructive dialogue, effective interaction with CSOs active in other fields, local, regional and public bodies.
  • Presentation of good practices and innovative collaborative strategies for policymaking skills and interaction with public and private stakeholders.
  • Youth volunteering – potentials and perspectives of YV  
  • IASIS Experience  – Tools for attracting and motivating youth volunteers in GREECE 
  • Strategy and Vision on youth volunteers / EVS and ERASMUS+ tools for mobility of volunteers
  • Youth volunteering – crowd funding, communicating benefits and raising local trust for more youth volunteers, tools and approaches
  • Youth volunteers with despairs – how we reach, motivate and involve disabled youth in volunteering

The Training Course was a great opportunity for participants to see how public private cooperation functions and works for the benefit of vulnerable groups in Greece. The collaboration between IASIS and the government in respect to managing boarding houses and the engagement of a huge number of youth volunteers in their everyday work was amazing and inspiring. Having the opportunity to see the support which the youth provide to the homeless and persons in need was encouraging for all the TC participants.

The next, fourth Training Course is planned to take place in Kranevo, Bulgaria, from 16th – 22 May, 2019.
